Vegan Tortilla

Vegan Tortilla

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1/4 cup nut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup warm water

Directions

  1. Rub the butter into the sifted flour,salt and baking powder until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.

    Add warm water slowly until a good firm dough is formed. 

    Roll it into a ball, then into a tube, halve it, then divide each half into small balls about the size of a squash ball. these need to be rolled out into a thin circle.

    Dry fry in a hot pan, pressing with a damp cloth as they cook to push air bubbles out. They must be cooked but not crisp as you need to fold them with your filling inside.

    Place them inside tinfoil or cooking paper to prevent them drying and becoming brittle while you cook all of them.
